- I met the right person in Oakland after the second show, and the end result was I was allowed to bring my "real" camera to the LA show provided I didn't bring any sort of real zoom lens.
I still had to get the camera past local security; fortunately, they weren't searching all that carefully, at least when I went in. I got down to the same spot I was in two nights earlier, got my camera okayed, and away we went.
It was a strong show, and even though I couldn't see the main stage well (security didn't even try to get people off their seats) it wasn't such a bad birthday. I mostly took b-stage shots, and I'm happy I did.
