- With some idea from Las Vegas of the potential of the show, and also not wanting to wait until late June to see the screen, I decided the morning of the San Diego show to make the trip down (and back, since I had to work the next morning). Through a series of events too complex and expensive to explain here, I ended up in the 13th row center with some Wirelings, my first example of how great other fans really can be.
Once again I'd brought a disposable, and this time, I got some decent shots of the screen - wow, that sucker is bright - and the show was much tighter than in Vegas. It felt like the band was a little calmer, too -- far less press, and the TV survived its first move in working condition.
